I was using a homemade recurve with hand made arrows.......... Just kidding, I shot it with #5 Longbeard XR

it had some big ole spurs!! This was the boss, I was so excited when I got him.

no, he was henned up and didnt care one bit about my calling. He gobbled on roost and I knew he was going to fly down in the field with the hens so I slipped into the field and waited for him to come my way. He strutted around with the hens for 1.5 hours and then finally they started coming my way. I laid him over at about 50 yards with the hen right beside him. I had to lay in the field on my stomach cause I didnt have a blind or anything
