Got this bad boy today with my GMC

My family killed 2 while grading for chicken houses off Rockmart Rd. When they laid them out, the head was against the front of the bed & the tails hung off the tailgate of a long wheel base pickup.
I wish we could find those old pictures from 1993.

Jeezus that’s frightening.
A couple years back I was hunting on Sapelo Island for a quota hunt.
When the wagon stopped to drop me off at my spot there was one very similar to this just sunning in the middle of the path.
I had snake boots on and never again questioned the need for them.
We had the wildlife biologist with us and he was stoked .
A few guys got off the wagon to take a closer look when that thing shot into the brush at lightning speed.
Needless to say it seemed like a very long walk to my climber.

Without a doubt. The area of NW Paulding has some whoppers there! I’ve seen a few there myself.
I recall seeing abundance of them when I hunted the area many moons ago.
The hands-down, biggest Canebrake I ever saw was killed not too far from Ideal, Ga.
