I was buying a box of 22 LR at sports authority once and the guy at the register said " better not let me catch you on the street with those" I said " what do you mean ?" and he proceeded to impersonate an officer and claim his day job was as a cop and that I better not be caught by him on the street. I immediately walked over to a manager and said that he was impersonating an officer . Never saw the guy there again.
I shoulda called the cops.

I have a shirt that my wife doesn't particularly like. Got it from Gadsden Culpeper. Black with white lower 48, coiled rattlesnake in the middle of the lower 48, and across the top, "Restore the Anger".

Yea- Wear it out in Burke Co and South Richmond Co and talk about stares and cashiers not even looking at you when you speak to them...

While I do not know his circumstances in life, I have to admit if I was a upper middle aged man working in a very small grocery store chain as a cashier; I'd probably be snotty too.

Of course it's possible you have that cause and effect thing backwards.
