The Valdosta Daily Times reports today that, on the first day of Georgia’s new law expanding the right to carry, we had a pair of gun-toting firearm enthusiasts – one of whom wasn’t sure that the fellow in front of him was a good guy with a gun.

I guess those who expected bodies littering the streets are disappointed.

They have been disappointed several times before, when concealed carry laws were enacted, when stand your ground and castle laws were made law, when we were allowed to carry in places that served alcohol, when we were allowed to carry on MARTA/public transportation, when we were allowed to carry on school property when dropping the kids off, when allowed possession in our cars on school and work property, when we were allowed carry in our parks, all these disappointments that only made them more desperate with each step of restoration of once retained citizen rights.

However, it never seems to deter them much from their emotionally charged crusade. If anything they are persistent and determined. Too bad they are stupid as well. That combination is a sincere threat to the honest public when combined with influence.
