Guns & Watches Whatcha Got?

Thanks, I will help you find one if you want. I love spending other peoples money. I think I mentioned this before but if you use the Watch Recon app, you can set it up to alert you any time whatever watch you are looking for is posted for sale on any of the watch forums. Its the only way to go when looking for those that are rare and hard to find. In the meantime, I am going to push you a bit more.:becky:

Very nice. Watch Recon is my go-to. I’ll remove an alert to make room for this one. There are a few on there now.

Wow, this thread took off again!

Since I first replied, I’ve bought:

1993 Omega Seamaster 300 (quartz)
1969 Omega Speedmaster Mark II
1990’s Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute
New Hamilton Khaki Field
New Bulova Lunar Pilot (poor man's speedy)

And a dozen NATO straps.

I really dig vintage watches and am looking for a Zodiac, 60's Moonwatch, and Burdy's previously recommended Seiko. A Heuer Autavia is high on my list as well, but they are getting pricey.

Before the curse of the ODT, I had an Apple Watch.
What did you do, buy the Bulova to be the beater Speedmaster when you want the look but don't want the risk? I like the Hamilton Khaki's, especially the CHF550 with the 80 hr reserve, such a great value and classic looking watch that will work in near any situation.

If I coumd find a good deal on one, id snag it in a heartbeat!

Finally baptized the Marinemaster in actual saltwater this weekend and then stuck the same strap on the Airman No. 1 after it dried out. Pocket dump with the Pelagos, Emerson Spyderco, Colonel Blade ALL G10 Fixed and TXC holster. I'm up to 5 of these Erika's Original Straps now and I just love them. Comfortable, durable and safe. You can lose a spring bar on the watch or the clasp could come lose, you still won't lose the watch.
