always sucks when the dumaflachey dont do what the dumaflachey posed to do.......
Most likely got rice in the carb.
My buddies bike use to do this. Ended up having a small piece of rash in one of the carb jets. It would start after some starter fluid got sprayed in, but was hit or miss if it would start on its own.
Good thing your legs aren't shorter... might have been more entertaining!
I was listening to the stereo while filling up my '08 Gold Wing the other day (took a while since it takes 20 gallons). Anyhoo, went to crank it up and the engine wouldn't turn over. Slight hill provided enough momentum to get it rolling and pop the clutch in 2nd gear. Started right up. Continued on to Bass Pro Shop and no more issues.

I guess having 2 wheels means stop lines don't apply? Hahaha
I don't pay attention to stop signs on private property in my regular vehicle either. If nothing is coming, I roll right on through.
