I have planned before food goals, traveled through multiple states to find the best Barbecue. Sometimes the quest is worth the travel, and the goal is the treat..Just a thought

Cherokee NC is fun with the kids...Native American shops, Tubing down the river....and Gem Mining! Go to one of the "dig yourself" mines and really have some fun. I have lots of containers of Sapphires we've found out there.
I feel the same about my front yard. The back yard gets whatever nature gives it but the front is kind of an ongoing battle for me. Picked up two bags of Milorganite on the way into work today. I've already hit it with 28% nitrogen and I still haven't outgrown some fungus. Hoping this will help... But when it looks good, oh man. It really is just like a golf course.
We the Nam Knights Of America did the KOA camp in Cherokee for years..Rented all of the cabins, from there you can trout fish along the creek in front of the cabins..Or they also have a stocked pond, not far to town or Harrahs. Tons of things for the kids and not far at all..Just remember it is Governed by the Cherokee Nation, and must follow by their native American law.
My vote goes to Gatlinburg. Go check out Speedwerkz while you're there and report back.
