I can heartily recommend the Big Boy Steel carbine .357. Mine has been flawless. Whatever you decide, best price I found was at Georgia Gun Store.
Do you happen to remember what the price was there? I'm in the market for a .357 Brass myself! This thread is perfectly timed!

I've got a 45/70. I gotta say that the durability on the finish is lacking compared to other guns. You really have to keep it super clean or it'll start to spot up like rust.... Also it won't cycle lever revolution bullets. But other brands are fine. All in all its a great gun. Super smooth cycling, very accurate, and quality made (minus the blueing).
