I'm using the 208gr 30 cal for 300 mag loads. Loading for 4 different rifles. So far I've been very pleased. Two of the rifles are printing 1/2 moa or better. The other two I'm still working on the recipe

As I understand the melting problem it does not occur until you get out to really long distances. I would think at normal hunting and most target distances the need for high temp polymer is not needed. So no reason to spend extra on it.
