Probably following protocol for the situation. Like I said, you probably won't know how you'll react until it happens to you. Always try to have a level/clear head, and also have a little self-control. You'll need that during SHTF.They would issue a warrant based on what? As they see fit with a terrorist in the area. I'm sure there were plenty of Liberals in the area, and they might harbor a terrorist, really. Cops can manipulate anything. When it comes down to it, they'll most likely get their way. More in numbers. Don't be so gullible.
Are you happy applying that standard to all of your rights? 1am on the side of the road and an officer asks to search your car. You can say "no" but you are OK with them using your "no" as reason for a search? Nope. A terrorist is on the run [in a car], and there is a roadblock ahead. The police are checking out vehicles. They do need that one person to hold up the potential capture of the subject. It would make me feel safer that they're doing a thorough job. I guess it depends on the situation (life or death). You won't know how to respond unless you've been in a similar situation. Not all cops are bad.
You are saying I should waive my rights based on others' opinion and fear? No. Fear is not part of the equation. Maybe you think it is.
The house to house searches found exactly jack ****. It was a citizen that noticed something wrong on his property.
