How do you get away from life's stress/hardships?

I've been wanting to do some volunteer work for quite some time and I have struggled taking that first step. I would like to change that. If yourself or anyone has any leads that may be a great candidate for my children and I to get out and do something good it would be greatly appreciated. Please PM me any info, TIA.

My Father is the Administrator at Calvary Childrens Home in Powder Springs. My Grandfather built/Started it back in the late 60's. My father took over head duties 40 years ago. They are always looking for volunteers/help with all types of things. If you are interested PM me and I will get you contact info.

Reload ammo, Trigger Time, and Bench time at the range it will change your attitude and help release all other items you've been thinking about...

Remember the brain can only think and focus only one thing at a time, and have success at what you are truly focused on.... it will declutter your attention and thinking...

The best therapy I've ever had was a trout stream with a fly rod in my hand. You're concentrating on your casts, reading the water and trying not to get hung up in a tree. The sound of the water and all the sites around you . It's very relaxing. I try to stop by the 'Hooch a couple times a week for an hour. It seems that's all it takes.
Unfortunately, most rivers around here have been blown out for a couple months so I'm a little stir crazy right now.

I go for a hike. It's been a while but I'm due. It take a bit of time though. First day, the noise of life is still buzzing in my head. Second day it starts to dull. Third day, Everything starts to come into focus. By the fourth, I am good as new.

I can't truly explain why, but solitude in nature has a way of bringing what I really want out. No phone, no e-mails, no traffic, etc. it doesn't have to be hiking, but that is what works for me. Take some time to yourself. Hunting, fishing, vacation, whatever...

I have never been stressed after working with my dog for a while. Something about how much fun he has when we are training puts a smile on my face every time. Also he doesn't know if I had a bad day or a good day. They are always just happy to spend some time with you. Just my .02
Walking my dog is quite relaxing but I have to be careful as she is having hip and joint problems now

Hell, I tried everything before I got my life together! Staying busy working, providing for a family and keeping it together is where it's at. It took me a while to figure out there is more to life than serving myself. It not easy, but it is rewarding.
No family yet as much as I want one. Trying to get a second job at a shooting range to help keep me busy and should be fun too
