Went to Mercer in Macon for a few months then decided to vacation in sunny SE Asia. That reminds me, need to have a talk with the travel agent.

Some college, but that took a back seat to earning $$. Just took a new job that will help pay for college, so I am considering going back once I get established there.

BA,MBA and a few certs . What I learned is most of the crap I acquired with my 70k education is not even relevant to life. I actually didn't make it through HS and wasn't ready for college until I was a dad in my late 20's . If I had to choose to which will serve me better between my street smarts / life smarts or my degrees. I would say the street and life smarts are the most important and all the degrees say is I was committed enough to finish what I started but it does not make me smarter than anyone else.

I went to Kennesaw State, couldn't find parking, said screw it, and got a job at a steel mill instead. Best decision ever!

During my formal education there were subject materials that seems pointless in real life...typically it was because I was missing the point. The point being, talented professors have a knack for getting you to put away paradigms, and focus in a less linear way.

No child left behind has done a great job of educating children in the fine art of thinking like a pre-programmed, antiquated robot capable of only thinking in terms of right and wrong--then filling the appropriate circle.
