That FR8 with lighter stock posted 2 pages ago, may have been a replacement stock blank from Springfield Sporters, from many years ago. I outfitted an FR8 with one, and regretted selling it. If your rifle came with a Timney trigger, it may have been mine in the past.
I have since bought another FR8, and will not part with it. They are good for deer and hogs, as well as the range.

I love it when folks try to sale Garands with no pics or info. $1000 firm.
I have been trying very hard to NOT BUY a .308 Special from the CMP. Garand addictions are tough.
I hear ya but $850 shipped to my house is amazing.
No timney trigger but thanks on lesson @ stock I like the stock and the rifle.
