I am sure it has been discussed here - but in case anyone missed it, the CMP was selling 1903's recently. ME/TE 2s and 1s for $650 - they all looked sharp.
Excellent shooters too!

Reloading clips makes me want to do another CMP trip. Looks like we fired over 200 rounds of Garand food last weekend between the 2-m1’s and 2 1903’s

One of these days I will make it there with y'all my friend! Tell Mrs. Alleycat hello for me.
Range day w a few MILSURPS
For rifle, I need to take my M1A loaded to the CMP range and try 600M. I enjoy hitting a steel flapper at 100 but need a challenge w a 12 power scope.
Even w iron sights zeroing it is accurate!
I think my LR-308 edged out the SOCOM 16 barely, will shoot them again, both are fun.
My son rocked the retro AR and his SCR. He got a really nice grouping on his BYF 43 98K and was ringing steel at 100M

For pistols I LOVE the FN five seven, need to get some self defense rounds and a 30 round mag.
My son's $350 Gen 2 Glock 17 he got on ODT was a smooth and tight shooter. His CMP a911 was nice as well
S&W Model 28 was very accurate.
