How is the milsurp market these days?

Hit the range earlier today at 9am and no one there! Also took out my Sig P226, original mag won't pick up last round, replacement mag no problems!

Argentine FN 49 in 7.62 Nato and a 1942 No1 MkIII Ishapore!

Went to Creekside today to break in that new garand barrel. Fired 1-shot, then wet swab, then dry patch, repeated for 20rds. Then i shot a few enblocs, cleaning her up after every three rounds. She's incredibly accurate with HXP, Danish surplus, and with new PPU ammo, consistently giving me 1" groups at 100 yds once i got the sights adjusted. Towards the end i was picturing the bullseye in 4 quadrants and calling my shots almost every time.

Barrel is a new criterion from cmp, all other parts are correct SA. Receiver is an SA '43. Trigger pull is crisp and predictable and the action cycled smooth as butter. Absolutely no feed or extraction issues. The front sight blade was slightly off center but i just compensated for it with my windage adjustment for today.... I'll take care of that before next time.

Had such a great time that i forgot to take pics. Many thanks to will4me will4me and 10thmountain 10thmountain for all your help and advice!

Told ya those barrels after broke-in are Awesome shooters LOL  .
And BTW Great job on Break-in most people do not take the time and it makes a difference.

Sadly I am relaregated to cleaning up old stocks. Sad to be poor. I will be putting a coat of BLO on an old rebuild stock tonight, looks like it was ran through AA twice (Augusta Arsenal).
I feel the sadness of being poor.
But I am poor because I picked up another Enfield.
