How to keep Canadian Geese off your lawn?

I use hair spray and a grill igniter affixed in the rear. I can boost a potato 200-300 feet or more! Awesome fun

Edit: feet, not yards....lol

Mine goes 175 yds, and is accurate. I shoot at phone poles at that range with success.

Guys, so like the title says, any suggestions on keeping those pooping machines off my lawn and driveway? I did a little online research and didn't find anything particularly useful. Thought I'd get some suggestions from the folks here.

There is a pond about 300 yards from my house that I don't own and can't put wire around, so I'm stuck dealing with them. I get about 50 at a time on my lawn. I thought about putting some blanks in one of my cap and ball revolvers and scaring them with 6 rounds of holy black. It would be fun for me!

I have a neighbor across the street, so I have to be careful with any firearms. I don't want to kill them, just keep them off the lawn. Any of you guys fought this battle?

Fortunately I have never had to fight the fight you are. However based on what I have been told, from a friend who did, if you will put up a hedge row along waterfront they will not enter cause they cannot see through it ... if you want to keep access to the pond, just stagger the rows of the hedges. Of course that means you have to kinda side step back and forth to get to the water but at least you are not slip sliding away down to the water on goose droppings!

We used to have them all over one of the golf courses I play. Once the new superintendent was hired and brought his dog to the course with him everyday, no more geese.
