Hunting secondary sidearm?

Lots of people walk around all day with out a SD weapon, too. But I still carry when around other humans. How about you?

Now that is an animal that can be unpredictable and dangerous! I agree 100% that when your around them to carry a side arm!

Ruger Blackhawk in 45 Colt, 357 mag or 327 Fed Mag. i like to mix it up. this year 41 mag is gonna be in the rotation.

Deer hunting, I'm with Biker.

I never need to dispatch a deer, and any other needs can be adequately addressed.

If I'm small game hunting I carrry a 3 or 4 in. .357 on the off chance I will run up on a hog or coyote. With a .22, the cumulative weight penalty is not that great.

I always used a redhawk in 44 mag. I never had a deer get close enough for me to use the handgun.

Not really. I live in a small town of 1200, everyone knows everyone. Outside of that yes. In the woods, not as much anymore a good flashlight has served me better than a weapon
