Same set of standards for any type rifle.

Started hunting hogs with mine. Rock river arms tact operator 2. Put a Leupold Rifleman 3-9x50 on it. That plus a streamlight strion hp mounted on the rail and you're good to go with hogs

I've my 223 set up to pop some coyotes in a few weeks. CMMG M4 LEP with a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40.

I choose 300blkout for this purpose. pickining it up next week

I use my 300 blackout to hunt with. I put a Vortex Viper 1-4 scope on it. It gets the job done. I am also planning a 6.8 build in the near future to hunt with as well.

I bought a 300 blackout upper for my girl to deer hunt with last season. She shot her first deer (small buck) opening day and it destroyed his vitals and fell within a few yards. It has a 1-4 power nightforce scope on it currently but I'll be buying something with a lil more magnification for her for that gun and reclaiming my nightforce for one of my rifles.

Deer,coyotes,hogs would ill be my choice to hunt, I was thinking either.308 or .223, but optics Idk what I should go with

What's your price range on optics? Nikon hard to beat for money then u lookin at leupold trijcon and NF along with others
