There are interesting pistol rounds lie the 357sig that are kinda popular. I was wandering if anybody had some weird ideas for other necked down parent rounds like a 45auto brass necked down to a 40cal projectile.

357 is a hot round. its impressive. The 5.7 is hot too. pushing 2500 FPS x21 bullets in a single magazine.

shoot if you are going to neck down anything, lets neck down a .50ae or .50gi and neck it down to a .17hmr bullet.

basically the 40 super or 400 Corbon- both are variations of your idea. EFK used to make a few 40 super barrels but not sure if they still do or not. pretty potent caliber.

there's lots of cool "versions" of things out there. someone has probably already done it but it's fun to look around. check out the 22TCM- 223 cut down to 9mm length then necked for a 22 caliber bullet. cool.
