I hate em too. It’s amazing how quickly they spread. I hiked 4 miles Saturday morning and bet I knocked down 40 webs.

I've been doing that. The damn web stretches 6 feet before it breaks, just winds up all wrapped around you when you keep walking with it sticking to ya

Then use an 8 foot branch!

Or, light the branch on fire. 🕸️

You can't take a step in hades without running into one of their webs. All we get to fend them off with is the greasy strings every one has pulled out of all the cats asses.

Mix up some Dawn dishwashing detergent and water in a spray bottle. Spritz them a few times and within a minute or two they're done for. Works on wasps, too. It does take a little bit of time, but it works.

It's not as fast as, say, blasting them with snake shot, but it's lots quieter.

Get one of these Bug Assault salt guns and enjoy the peace and stress relief that washes over you in waves as you shred their little soft torso’s with a blast of table salt and leave them swinging in the breeze. It’s downright relaxing. This thing will ruin a fly or yellow jackets day too!

Man I think I might start going out and doing some target practice on these spiders with a .22. Couldn't be a bad way to blow off some steam to go take a hike and pick off 20 or 25 spiders and tear down some webs. Maybe the DNR will hire me after a while to clean em up LOL

I may have to reinvest in one of the salt guns (Bug-A-Salt on Amazon). "Ammo" is way cheaper than shot shell and just as effective!

I have wore one slap out shooting spiders.

the DNR will require you buy a license to shoot them if they find out you are enjoying shooting them......
