I love revolvers

all these nice wheelguns. Here is my one and only. Its all the revolver ill ever need. Smith and wesson 629 .44 magnum pre lock.
i would love a revolver just not sure which on to go with, i want it to keep in my car/purse and xdm 40 for the house at least for now

My advice would be to try a few rentals at a range and see what works well for you. Don't fall into the trap of some gunstore saleman telling you "This here is what you need because it fits your hands". If you were closer I'd be happy to let you shoot some of mine to get an idea of what you like/don't like.
I agree with Wheeler but in addition to that a good starter revolver that you'll almost never regret is something from the ruger line. They make fine working mans revolvers ... They may not win a beauty contest but they are build like tanks and cost 2/3 to 1/2 most of their close competition ... open a reloading manual and you'll find pages after the regular loads that say "only use these in a ruger revolver" I was told once by an insane reloader jokingly (don't try this) that the revolver will hold up to whatever amount of powder you can put in the cartridge and still fit a bullet on top of and get the cylinder to turn. To me it means that I don't have to worry about heavy factory hunting loads destroying my revolvers. It's also why you'll usually find that most of the revolvers in the rental cabinets in most of the ranges that I've used around the country are rugers ..... I'd say the most common to see is the Ruger GP100 357. In Nevada we had to qualify with ALL of the make and models of every auto that we would ever carry but if we qualified with one revolver we could carry any (insane right? like these things are even similar)
I'm not telling you not to buy smiths or colts or whatever ..... just start with something that you will have fun with and won't be afraid to get dirty because it didn't cost $800-$1000+ and eventually when you realize that only a revolver feels like a real gun to you anymore you'll have the sickness and have pretty collectible revolvers of all makes and models that rarely leave your safe because they're too pretty to shoot
My problem is that when I fondle one of my beefy all steel revolvers it feels like a real gun and when I'm playing with a glock or an HK, while they are perfectly good guns they just feel like toys by comparison.
