Vinyl does sound best but the thing I miss from that era is that they produced LPs with the intent to persuade you to listen to a whole side and then flip it over. I think everything is more singles driven now.

Still have my Dual direct drive turntable and floor JBLs. Table circa 1980 speakers early mid 70s.
Probably 500 albums. Most my wife's. Long hair rock.

My wife and I attend smaller venue concerts regularly - all of the artists now bring vinyl albums to sell. I have a collection from my teens that I'm adding to opportunistically - my turn-table is in my man-cave, so I may actually sit cross-legged and read the album liners - difference is now I can now openly nurse a bourbon while doing so.....
Picked up the MC album today for 30$ at the local pawn...two songs skip, one being "shout at the devel.....bummer
I read last week that vinyl outsold CDs by 4-1 last year.
Turntable and a tube type amp. Just something about that sound.
I still have a peach crate from Turtles full of albums. Many classics but no more turntable. I should find a place to dump them. Have replaced many with cds and still don’t listen to them anymore. Remember the digital remastered albums with the heavy plastic outside? Them were good days.
