I am becoming more of a competitor than a collector...there i said it..the .308 can be used in unlimited Garand matches. I do have one I may let him swap the barrel or if we don't do that he can just get the dope on it and tune one for me.

Welcome to the madness. Hook was a major reason for me getting into the M14/M1A platform. His indirect influence compelled me to hone my craft at M14 USGI stock refinishing. There will never be another Hook. I wish you luck.
