Identification of Antique Swords

So swords are not my thing...

But when these walked in the door of my pawn shop I couldn't resist buying them


I am almost positive that they are Nepalese, but the style seems weird for the era.

Could use some further input from any experts here.

From my FIL who has several authentic Japanese swords he brought back from Japan:
”I don’t know what language the inscription is. Some of the blades and fittings might be Showa era Japanese ( 1920’s or later) certainly not well cared for and of doubtful value. Showa blades have never been considered very collectible.”
