LinkedIn is trash too. I hate the news feed. It’s just hot chicks complaining about dudes harassing them at work and on linkedin and how they are above that, companies proclaiming their wokeness, or vendors trying to sell you something. I got off LinkedIn after a year. It’s business Facebook.

I’m only 33 I shouldn’t be so jaded already. Lol
Uh....Excuse me good sir.....

My feed is a bunch of retail merchandising and analytics papers presented by my peers in my industry.

Is there any way I might persuade you to share with me how you are getting feed about hot chicks complaining about harassment? Thanks!

Dropped a job I was fairly satisfied with to take advantage of an opportunity in development. Base salary went up by about 30%, but bonus potential increased 10x. Was sitting in on an earnings call this week and beginning of next year is looking good. We’ll likely hit 125% of bonus opportunity.

no idea. I haven’t been on in two years. I was following a lot of “business insiders” which I quickly learned were just LinkedIns version of Instagram THOTs.

Having landed a new job last week, I'm in agreement. To say I was unhappy at my previous gig would be a huge understatement. On Sundays, I was almost depressed knowing I had to go to work there on Monday. The guy who ran the show was a pompous jerk. On the bright side I gained the necessary credentials for my new job.
My new salary is a 50% increase and the benefits are better 10 fold. Was I nervous as hell taking this leap of faith?...Heck yeah. I would say at a minimum, update your resume and send out a few job feelers. You certainly have nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

Apply to something else NOW! The market is absurd. I realize this shouldn't be a news flash but if you are one of these people who tolerate the known devil and use it as an excuse to not better your situation you may miss a literal once in a lifetime opportunity.
I've had to post several jobs for my company recently and the 'quality' of the applicants and the salary expectations are nothing short of bizarre. :dizzy:
It is a job seekers market right now. Don't miss this chance!
On a personal note, after being in the search for months, I had several things simultaneously come up. Accepted a great role with a great company and had been there a few months and then my dream company I had previously been pursuing for three years called. I gave notice and start new gig Monday. (I am not a job hopper and told employer that would be the only reason I'd leave. I honestly didn't expect it to happen.) Today someone else called I had spoken to just to network when I was in the search. He called me about a position and he was hoping I was still in the market. (I sent him some candidates). The job market has done a complete 180.

If you need a job or need to change jobs, good luck! But you'll need a lot less of it right now!
Go make it happen. :yo:
Glad to hear you found something! I'm on the other end. Tired of dealing with The Man and retiring in December.

What type of development?

I saw a opening for a factory worker the other day… $35 an hour. I hate factory work, but that made me think about selling my Truck.

Anheuser Busch pays close to that (after 2 year apprenticeship), plus has a benefit package that most companies can't touch. Doesn't matter if you drive a fork truck loading the trucks or if you work on the brewing side. We are hiring.
