Most of those loads are custom loads but out of an fn with a threaded barrel you get right at those velocities with s4, s4m and several others .

This is the main issue with the 5.7 round. That is round development and testing . What you speak of was probably done with ss190. There are much better rounds out there than that. It's just too early in development and not mass produced . Im sure it will be in time .

Also the whole " moving too slow argument " is usually based on some person who is testing the crappy blue box fn . I have several fn loads that sail past 2,800 fps.

People said these exact statements about the 9mm. Look at today . With ammunition development people are dropping larger calibers for it again.

With a ps90 you can get well over 3,000 fps out of many 5.7 loadings. Which is the main reason I won't ever SBR my ps90
