My brother in law and me sometimes shoot in my backyard for kicks. Today he brought over a nice smith 17-4 all appears original to the gun. It has been shot a little but not much. Target sites adjustable. Original grips. But no box and docs. Shoots better than me. By the way, he bought it off a cousin 30-40 years ago for 30 freaking bucks. @JWC @Leatherhead @mikey357 and other smithonites , any info appreciated.20190531_191939.jpg

M17-4 were produced from 1977-1982
A S/N would narrow that down some.

Cylinder chambers should be C-bored.

Thanks Bill. I don't have it on me, it's my brother in law. Gun broker pricing is all over the place, from 600 to over a 1k. I know his wouldn't be worth that much, but it's a nice Smith.
