Inherited Something Cool

Plenty out there, but pricey ! Not as fun to shoot as I imagined though.

I wouldn't advise anyone to shoot a matching one nowadays, or at least swap out all the vulnerable numbered parts first !

My plans are more along the lines of a shadow box rather than the range.

Beautiful Luger ya got there brother! :thumb::thumb:

Thanks! It's a nice piece of firearm history by the looks of it. Doing some research into the story behind it. Nice to be entrusted with it until it gets passed down in the family. It could be in better condition but I dont want to do anything to it besides oil it for protection. I want to clean up the holster with some saddle soap but I'm gonna ask someone knowledgeable before doing anything that might hurt the value. It even has the stripping tool I didnt put in the pics. Only thing missing is the wood stock. As far as I can tell it was one of the first "sbr's". If I can locate the stock I wonder if ATF would have something to say about it?

It's kinda funny. Never really been into older guns. I like my guns usable and hardy. But my family seems intent on dropping things like this in my lap because they know I will appreciate and care for them. I'm having a hobby dropped in my lap and I'm not complaining :).

Iff'n your not careful, those "older guns" can be quite habit forming.

It's amazing how those "old guys and gals" can breed . . . .
