I have the iPad 2. LOVE IT. keep in mind the newest iPad 3 uses the new charger plug, so your old chargers for you iPhones etc won't work. I print wirelessly to my printer, and when away from home I tether to my iPhone.

I made that mistake with the printer I bought. Nice HP wireless printer...unfortunately no AirPrint.

I have the original Ipad. Got it not soon after they came out. Still running strong. Mine is the 64 gig. Unless your an app whore (I am and still not even half full) get the mid sized hard drive and save some coin for apps. Ipad gen 1s can be had for CHEAP. Mine does everything I need it to. I dont need a camera on my ipad so I never bothered to upgrade. I have full movies, games , tons of apps and my ipad works just as well as a new one.
If you have a new iPhone, skip the 4g iPad. You can setup a personal hotspot on your phone and use the connection with your iPad. Should save you a few bucks on your purchase.
I have a cheap ($100) HP wireless laser printer (from staples) and I have no problem printing from my phone or iPad. If you have a iPhone and plan on using it as a hotspot, I'm told you have to pay a fee unles you jailbreak it?
