OP just stick with what you got.
And when it brakes, just take it to TruPrep and cmshoot will happily repair it for you. While taking your money, he’ll be saying “I told you so…”

I almost bought a geissele mk8 they had in there on Saturday but it would have been a tad too long. Dang 13.7 barrels. I love me some TruPrep

If it were a fixed gas block, and securely installed, I wouldn’t worry about it.

OP has an adjustable gas block, and the adjustable spigot is totally exposed. I can see that getting damaged, which could easily turn his AR into a single-shot, manually fed.
