It's amazing what commercials are allowed on TV

I have to admit I am ashamed of what white people have done to black people in early days. And in some circumstances even today it still reeks of prejudice. I feel like it was one of the worst atrocities ever committed in the United States of America.
Do you know anything about slavery other than what you've been taught in public schools?

I know that it was mainly black tribes that raided villages in Africa and rounded up the ones that didn't get away and took them to the Dutch, English and French slave traders for profit. Half of which died on the way over and thrown overboard. Slavery in America was mainly limited rich plantation owners for nothing but greed. They didn't want to pay for labor. The others were rich politicians. It was always limited to the rich and ones with power and influence. It wasn't just limited to America. Europe was probably the worst offenders. If it wasn't African slaves it was Jewish ones as well. Slaves were even mentioned in the Bible as servants. It's been an unspeakable act of real " elitist attitude" since the beginning of time. I don't condone any of it.

I started smoking when I was 13yrs old. It would make me sick every once in a while, but I kept right on smoking. I've smoked pipe, cigars and cigarettes. Menthol and regular. I chewed a little too along the way. Liked tobacco. I met my wife to be in my early 20s. She would've nagged me to death if I hadn't quit. Back then I don't think they had all the stuff they do now. I quit slowly, took me about 13 months. Like to have turned my insides out. Been smoke free a very long time now. My wife thought I had quit before I actually did. It took time.
Kudos to anyone that does quit, you're better off for it. And you'll save a boat load of money too

Slavery Fact Sheets <---

A snipet:
"35.3% of all slaves from the Atlantic Slave trade went to Colonial Brazil. 4 million slaves were obtained by Brazil, 1.5 million more than any other country. Starting around 1550, the Portuguese began to trade enslaved Africans to work the sugar plantations, once the native Tupi people deteriorated."
