It's amazing what commercials are allowed on TV

I started smoking when I was 13yrs old. It would make me sick every once in a while, but I kept right on smoking. I've smoked pipe, cigars and cigarettes. Menthol and regular. I chewed a little too along the way. Liked tobacco. I met my wife to be in my early 20s. She would've nagged me to death if I hadn't quit. Back then I don't think they had all the stuff they do now. I quit slowly, took me about 13 months. Like to have turned my insides out. Been smoke free a very long time now. My wife thought I had quit before I actually did. It took time.
Kudos to anyone that does quit, you're better off for it. And you'll save a boat load of money too
I'm 18 years, 5 months and 22 days tobacco free.

Slavery Fact Sheets <---

A snipet:
"35.3% of all slaves from the Atlantic Slave trade went to Colonial Brazil. 4 million slaves were obtained by Brazil, 1.5 million more than any other country. Starting around 1550, the Portuguese began to trade enslaved Africans to work the sugar plantations, once the native Tupi people deteriorated."

Thanks for posting that. I am not Brazilian but worked there enough to know that country is truly a "melting pot" of different peoples from all over the world. More slaves brought into Brazil from Africa than ever were shipped to America.

The best food in the country is "traditional slave fare" just like soul food is here.

Amen to that. I started with Copenhagen when I was 16. First time I got sick as a dog and turned 4 different shades of green and puked my guts up. What do you think I did next put another dip in and went through it again and again until I got used to it. Now that's what I call being a dumbass. I had never seen a Copenhagen commercial before in my life. All the cowboys were doing it in Oklahoma so I thought if it's good for them it's got to be good for me. Worst move I ever made. I quit and started back again I don't know how many times.

Another (last) snipet:
"In some African nations, actual slavery continues. Repeated attempts to outlaw slavery in Mauritania have had little effect. The most recent declaration of abolition, in 1980, has been largely ineffective, with 90,000 black Mauritanians remaining essentially enslaved to Arab/Berber owners (). In the Sudan, Christian captives in the ongoing civil war are often enslaved, and female prisoners are often used sexually, with their Muslim captors claiming that Islamic law grants them permission ()."

Gotta read that in your best Jackie Chan voice...

How about them folks crossing the southern boards and vanishing into US, picked up by billionaires and basically turning into some sort of sexual slaves?
