I had an M11/9 SMG for 20 years. I found it to be a lot more fun with a 9" barreled upper wearing a red dot optic. Especially with a real or fake silencer screwed on the end of that!
I thought about getting a better shoulder stock (to replace the cheap telescoping wire one) and a Lage slower-rate upper, but never took that step.

Congrats . It is a good investment that will serve you well.
Best advice I can give is to stock up on 9mm. You will find your range trips will be cut short. I use to spend an hour plus at the range. When I bring a machine gun I'm in and out within 30 minutes .
