As long as it isn't scented. I can imagine some hard looking tatted up inmate asking "who smells like flowers? That **** is sexy."
That is quite the imagination you have there.

But your right to come and go as you please has been taken (freedom). What is the difference? You may have shown a propensity, but when you have paid your debt, you have paid your debt. What good are your rights if they can be taken away?
No you have not. A part of the sentence is that you loose certain rights. that IS part of "paying the price"
In this world where We the People restore all Constitutional rights to convicted felons that have paid their debt to society still operate under the current Justice System? I cannot see this working without bringing back public executions and punishments that fit the crimes not this perversion we have going on now
That is really a different argument though. From every comment I have seen on here, the only difference is that those who don't want to restore the rights of felons thing said felons should not be out anyway. But until 1968, felons could still keep and bear arms after their release.
Should the mentally ill be allowed access to firearms as well? Or if they are unsafe with firearms should they just be locked away? Know anyone who is bipolar?
Don't know or really care. Has no relevance in this discussion that I can tell.@Ken - How many laws are there in Georgia that could make someone a felon, including federal felonies?
I am thinking those who are defending felons not having their rights restored were born long after 1968 and simply don't know or understand anything else. It's all they know, therefore, it is the correct answer.
Thegovernment has been very effective convincing the public there is a distinctionbetween legal and illegal guns, when in fact, no distinction exists under theConstitution.
