Jeep 4 cylinder 2.5 Power Mod question

Cold air intake is a waste of money, injectors wont help, gears will help a little but not much since your already probably running 4.10's from the factory.

V8 swap or sell it and find a V8 grand cherokee WJ/ZJ

If you go to any of the Jeep forums, this question comes up at least weekly.

If you want more power than what you have with that 4 popper, sell the vehicle and buy one with the 4.0. You will be out little money in the swap, and will have the power you want.

There are countless mods that are touted as increasing power, none of them have any real effect as that engine is already doing all it is capable of from the factory. You can move the power band and torque band around, but the end result will be less drivability.

On paper, that engine has more power than the 4.2/258....LOL! Drive mine and you will see that is a total lie.

You can spend all the money you want, but like mentioned earlier, all you are doing is putting lipstick on a pig.

Oh, and put the stock size tires and wheels back on that 4 popper, you WILL get back some of your lost performance.
