I see people almost daily over pay for guns at Academy. I believe its because they dont know better. Usually its people buying their first or second gun.

I agree, my grandfather always told me to never buy the first deal. There are more options and avenue's to use.

I love using an app on my phone to scan bar codes for pricing online while in Bass Pro, etc. When asked what I'm doing (I always set the sound really loud) by a clerk I tell them I'm searching the bar code online for a 'better deal.' LOL!

I stopped going into BassPro. ive brought maybe 1 item out of 20 visits. Ammo is cheaper at Academy and pretty much everything else.
Their clearance section is a joke. $180 boots on clearance for $150. $50 Tackle box broken handle 10% off. Store Brand Refurbished reels $80. I'll buy a pack off beef jerky and a bag of roasted pecans to snack on while I drive to Academy.

I made that mistake on my first two guns at Boot and Buckshot in Cartersville. Way over priced. I usually drive to canton to Cherokee gun and pawn.
