Killed my 1st rattle snake today

Dogs usually do make it through snake bites as others have said. Although it is too late in this case, they do make a rattlesnake vaccine for dogs. My vet offers it to me every year, and I have always turned him down, but after this year and the 3 rattlers killed in the backyard, I am reconsidering. I think it is mainly for Diamondbacks, but it does apparently provide some cross protection against other rattlesnakes and maybe copperheads.

i didn't know such a vaccine existed. thanks for that info. wonder if it's able to be crossed to humans
