Laying Hands on Higher End Precision Rifles.

Ive been in both Mile High and Euros facilities. They are the go to for having the good and high end stuff in stock, solid sales staff and pricing. Both are the AI distributors for the US, and Euro is the largest single dealer for many of the other high end brands in rifles, optics, etc.

TRG-42 in .300 winmag and some very good glass if you want to shoot a mile.
A lot of other guns will get you there cheaper like Begara, Ruger, Fierce, Springfield but but the two brands mentioned at the start of the thread are quality each and every one...and you will PAY for it.
GA Precision is one I highly recommend as well.
If you just want to plink at 1000 yards a smaller cheaper caliber will work.
My TRG's are true sniper rifles designed that way from the start.
I will honestly say now that I am older and out of shape I couldn't lug one through a sniper/rifle force application course and would pick a lighter system.

Run and gun is an awesome training tool.
Your rifle needs consistent cold bore accuracy then hot without going to crap when it gets hot.
ACIS, TRG, GAP and a few others can give you this.

As cool as the big boys are, I don’t need a magnum rifle. I can do everything I want to do with a 6.5CM.

As a Tikka fan, I looked very hard at TRG’s but I think the quick barrel change system of the AI has won me over.

Me too…all my precision guns are .223, .308, 6.5CM. My biggest rifle is a .30-06. I want either a .300PRC, .338NM, or .338LM for my next build.

Great thread.

Impact Precision use to have a nice system for barrel changes.

I want rifle, scope and accessories under 10#, preferably around 8#.

So caliber wise you wouldn't want a magnum:
6.5 cm
6 arc
.243
.308
6.5 Grendel

I left out a BUNCH of great calibers because these you can find on the shelves.
Mostly .308, 6.5 cm and 6.5 Grendel.

I ran a .243 Ackley Improved GAP rifle for a bit, great round.
That leads in to barrel life.
A lot of powder burning through a small hole will accelerate bore throat erosion and that makes you love easy barrel replacement.

I have a couple of guns that the barrel is fitted/epoxied and if a barrel change is required they recommend shipping back over seas.

The above leads me to 6.5's, .308 and 5.56 for fun conventional shooting.
Now if your into reloading your options are vastly more complicated.

So let's say:
Small action
Carbon fiber wrapped barrel
Composite stock
*6.5 cm or .308 minimum 18" barrel length for my personal reasons and will run suppressed on all rifles.
