No No sell the Colt to me , I have a DPMS panther and 1000 round for the trade. Just Kidding. Keep the Colt better rifle and wait for the ammo to come back around and it will prices have come down in the last mont alone.

LE 6920 Vs. DPMS Sportical - What would you do?

I prefer Colt for finish and function,but the Dpms will serve your purpose for plinking and HD.

neither, sell it & get a cheap AK (if there is such a thing now). AKs don't break bolt lugs nor blow gas tubes like AR15s do. in fact AKs don't break anything and have much better knock down power. 
Keep the Colt! A sportical doesn't have a dust cover, forward assist, or chrome lined barrel. BNIB sporticals retail value is only about $650 but I still see people wanting wanting 300 over that. Just keep what you have.
I like DPMS fine and if that is the limit of your price range, it will serve you well. The Colt, however, is a far better investment. The resale will remain higher, it will hold up better, and it is an all around better rifle.
