Least expensive pistol you would trust for a CCW

Milsurp>cheap plastic junk.
You can still buy a Mak for about 200 if you shop around. It will work EVERY time.

I carry it's slightly more complicated brother the CZ82, thousands of rounds of mixed ammo, never a jam, never a FTF, never a FTE. Those Eastern block guys know how to build some good shooting guns. I have shot 12" plates at 100 yards with this thing (3/12).
<3 my 82, would never part with it, just like the STAR BM (another good choice, though not as cheap)

What a great bunch of options. I stopped by my local gun shop and put a Glock 36 in my hands. It felt REALLY good! I can't wait to be able to shoot one! I also liked the Ruger Lc9. It actually felt pretty darn good in my hand even being so small.

Except to go jogging I wouldn't carry less than a 9MM. So for EDC the cheapo 380's are out.

Kel Tec is hit and miss(pardon the pun) on reliability for many of their guns. Had both a P3AT and a PF9 that were seriously iffy, as well as one of each you could trust your life on. But then I've had similar experience with Taurus Milenniums too. PT92/99 is as reliable as any gun on the market though. Just too damn big to carry. In the porice rangs and a little bit more carry friendly are the Ruger P series. Reliable as hell and <$300 or ya got robbed.

But for me, I prefer a Ruger SR9c/SR40c for the bottom price range I will EDC at <$400, or a Glock 27 right at $400.

retail cost not used I would pick a sccy cpx-2, it is a pretty slick looking gun and for a DA I grew fond of it while I had one, I just don't know about carrying a kel tec or Taurus
