Ok that's kind of what I was thinking but wasn't sure exactly when to look. Either end of season or winter but I'm in no hurry so I'll try and be patient lol. Thanks brother
I have a Gravely 42" that I like a lot. Cuts very well and I believe it's in your price range brand new. It's no Exmark or Scag but it does have a Kawasaki motor.
Gravely has my vote.
I agree with the other comments about buying a good used commercial grade unit. My father-in-law has a 48" Exmark and that thing is a beast. Also, you butt will thank you since it has suspension in the seat that the residential units don't.
I bought a commercial grade Cub Cadet Force LTZ. It has a 48 inch deck, heavy duty, not the stamped POS decks on residential grade. Takes me about 2 hours to cut a little over 2 acres with a 24hp Kohler.
I paid $3700 but they financed it interest free for like 4 years. I will pay it off sooner but that made it an easy purchase. They threw in a $275 maintenance jack for free. The original price was $4200. It is a beast.

As others have said, go with commercial grade. I bought the largest lawn tractor that Lowe's had when I was running a mowing business. It was a Troy built mower. I wore it out in two years. The transmission and rear end both went out. Wound up selling it for $200. I'll never buy residential grade anything again.
