I hear the Kohler engine is a good one.I use a Walker brand commercial mower that my dad purchased in 1989 - original Kohler engine and all; very sturdy and dependable machines.

I bought a commercial grade Cub Cadet Force LTZ. It has a 48 inch deck, heavy duty, not the stamped POS decks on residential grade. Takes me about 2 hours to cut a little over 2 acres with a 24hp Kohler.
I paid $3700 but they financed it interest free for like 4 years. I will pay it off sooner but that made it an easy purchase. They threw in a $275 maintenance jack for free. The original price was $4200. It is a beast.
