Riding mower input

I have 3/4 of an acre and use a Chinesium JD L108 42" deck I purchased new from Home Depot back in 2005. I do the maintenance myself every other year and it runs strong without issue.
If i were to get a new one, it would be a zero turn with a the stronger deck. My neighbor uses an Exmark

I'm in similar boat to OP but with more acreage and hills. Really want a zero turn but have yet to find one that can handle our hills.
That's why I don't want one. I lived on a step hill. And our current place has a couple places that a zero turn at least shouldn't try to handle.. My Dad had one turn over on him. Had the Fire Dept out to get it off of him. Then later, shoulder surgery

zero turn , far more enjoyable and efficient to mow

I have an old Cub Cadet with Kawasaki engine at the farm

A friend gave it to me I had to spend @ $700 to repair it , have used it for seven years

My MIL gave me her old X mark zero turn and I love it. So comfortable. The year before we purchased a new Cub Cadet from Tractor Supply and now it sits in our building.
I’ll never go back to a regular riding lawnmower.
Best MIL!

OP, show us what you picked up.
There’s no shame even you got one from the Home Depot.

$2650 used. About 6 months old

Do you need it to tow garden trailers, and do other work around the house? I use mine to pull carts etc and it is handy. I have a John Deere x380 that I am happy with. I did a search on FB marketplace for John Deere X models and there are quite a few with relatively low hours in your price range. Any of those in that series (with Kawasaki motor) will be more durable and serviceable than an equivalent riding mower from a box store in the same price range.

I don't have an opinion on the zero turn, as I have always used my mowers to pull carts and things around the house and property.

I have a small tractor (1025R) as well, but sometimes it's just easier to use the mower for moving things from one side of the property to another.

Took me a few minutes to get used to it. Drives like a Green Machine. Knocked out my yard in like 30 minutes, not counting touch ups. Bouncing at high speed is a bit uncomfortable but nothing I cant get over.
Its under warranty for 2 yrs so if it holds up I'll be happy with it.

I dont do much towing atm but that might change
