I got to hold a real one of these a gun store here in north ga has one it pretty awesome and pretty expensive. It even has the dowel it came with to knock out the spent brass.

I heard the dowel rod part of the setup was rare as hens teeth. This thing was definitely unique in design and it's intended purpose. When I read the article about them many years ago I wondered why they didn't just drop Derringers to them instead. Then I got to the part about the unit cost.
And hey they were " Genuine GM Parts". I wonder if AC Delco made the ammo.
