Your contention is that public roadways, which are built for MOTOR VEHICLE traffic, should be allowed preferential use by you (which is what happens since other traffic must slow down based on the way you admit you ride) for your chosen RECRETATIONAL activity on a surface which was not designed nor built for that use? You also belive the fact you own vehicles and pay taxes allowing you to operate those vehicles on the roadways somehow translates to your bicycle recreation? Seriously?Bike Lanes:
I was on a committee here locally and lobbied AGAINST bike lanes...primarily because they do cyclist NO good if they are not swept or maintained. Currently, our bikes lanes are littered with Gravel, glass, trash, and dead animals...so I ride in the roadway for my own "safety" and suffer the wrath of the denim clad morons trying to turn me gay by calling me names...
"You don't pay taxes you should be on the road"
Contrary to what seems to be popular belief, we do. I own 3 vehicles, 2 trailers, and own my own business. I pay a SH!7 Load of taxes...this argument does not deserve any more effort....just ignorance..
Wow.... 400 is an example of a long line of the abuse of our tax dollars. If my money is guaranteed to support improvements for cyclists, then I will pay it. But since that will never happen, I am not supporting yet another tax. I mean really how much is enough??? Pretty soon we will be taxed for breathing the air...
Mind reader? were back to that horrible logical fallacy that the gun grabbers keep using...ill repeat it again, because you clearly missed it.Even if there were bike lanes, you wouldn't use them. I've seen it before all over Gwinnett county. You've even had a bike rider earlier say he doesn't use them.

While I get your riding towards the center on blind curves from a logic standpoint, your inability to acknowledge the roads are NOT built or designed for bicylists and your refusal to want to pay your way to accomodate your personal chosen recreation falls completely flat. There are infinitely more NON-bicyclists than bicyclists yet you want everyone to subsidize your fun?
This of course is the common "It's all about me" society when seem to have devolved in. Cities are a feces hole enough because of that mindset. Now we have to deal with it on rural roadways as well apparently....

So the registration system on cars doess't help get vehicles returned to the proper owner or deter theft? You seriously don't get the point of that?because plates dont stop theft.

1 person is psycho, kills people. Uses a gun.
2 All gun owners must be (potential) murderers
3 Punish ALL the gun owners.
1 a person doesnt use the bike lane(in the few rare places they exist)
2 no riders use the lane.
3 Punish ALL the riders
it doesnt work. Its wrong and you know it. Its Emotional, not Logical.
plus were talking bike lanes now, which isnt what the bill is about or addresses.
If they want to introduce a bill, that sets a process similar to the "Peach Pass" as a voluntary option for riders to use a bike lane, paid for by...riders only. Id be all for it.
it would pass the smell test. if only the peach pass was only paid for by the people using it and not subsidized by everyone else....
Voluntary.
Only paid for by those using it.
No harm/cost to anyone not using it.
