I don't have a shotgun anymore but I'm down to barrow yours to kill some hawgs!!!Wish I had seen this before. I'd definitely be up for going if y'all go again. Even have a loaner shotgun someone can use.

The last shotgun I owned was a Mossberg Persuader. Last time I used it was a skeet shooting event and it went about as well as you'd expect.
What's a decent, inexpensive all around shotgun for hog hunts like this?
The Stevens 320, Mossberg Maverick, and Hatsan Escort are all really well suited to hogs. Biggest difference is that the Stevens has a fixed cylinder choke on an 18 1/2" barrel with a pistol grip, but they're all pump guns and you see them around or under $200 out the door.
I don't know semiauto shotguns, so other than those, the 870, the Mossberg 500 field model, and the H&R/NEF single shots, I couldn't tell you much. Any of them will kill hogs, just pattern them and use good buckshot or slugs.
