Long story short I'm looking for a FFL Lawyer to help me with some legal questions I have pertaining to getting on an existing FFL. Long story. My ex son in law's lawyer is asking me to sign on to my ex son in law's FFL so I can facilitate selling the remainder of my ex son in law's imventory (serialized lowers, suppressors, sot lower and firearms). I'm being asked this because my ex son in law is in jail awaiting conviction or release. He is not in jail for ffl, atf or firearms related violations. However, the lawyer said the storage unit where the inventory is stored has been visited by the atf, and they were not happy about the storage unit being used to house the inventory. The lawyer claims the atf is understanding of his situation and will allow the items to be sold as long as it is done right. Knowing the atf has been involved and is aware of his situation i am scared to death of getting involved. Why get involved, more than half of the money spent on the inventory is my step daughter's hard earned money. I would really like to see my step daughter get that money back.
