Huh? What do you mean 'converted to double action'? The SP is a double action? I'm confused (normal state of affairs).

That is the exact barrel length I am looking for. The one at Lake Side guns is a 8"

That is pretty much the exact gun I am hunting except I would change out the grips to a nice cherry polished wood

ruger sp101 in .357 magnum if you intend to carry it ever.
and as target gun a large framed s&w i .357 magnum

.357 can shoot 38 special as well

S&W model 19-3 4", my first handgun, purchased in 1974, still have it. Just wish I had the original grips, but I will find a set.
