Can't go wrong with a crossbow .I know you don't like the warmer season ticks and such but you definitely increase your chances by getting out there before the rifle guys.
I agree does better our chances. That's a lot of hunting season that many guys miss out on and they are missing some great opportunities.
Crossbows are great. I have a Barnett that I bought for $100 from my cousin, hunted with it one time, killed a doe and haven't hunted with it since. I'm going to hunt with it again this year.
I hope that it holds off so that we can get a hunt in.
