I don't know much about this. It has some hardware and a crack. Not trying to get rich off of it. If it has no value I'll give it to my buddy to make knife handles. If I sell it. How should I post it?

The crack closes right up. You wouldn't notice it from the outside if glued by a wood savvy fella. It needs a home. I'm tired of hoarding stuff someone else might appreciate.
If its a GI stock, there should be a manufacturer mark in the sling well. The more obscure makers command more money.
Knife handles......
I'd just pull the metal hardware off and sell it. Give the wood to your buddy.
I have an early model Universal M1 that has a replacement stock on it I keep thinking about replacing: every time I go to a gun show at the Expo center someone has a barrel of GI M1 stocks and I think he was asking 50 or 60 bucks a piece but they were all in very good condition.

As is stated unless its a Rock Ola stock or Irwin Pedersen stock remove metal and give to your buddy
