I have an old JC Higgins model 20 with a 5 round mag tube. There is no aftermarket extension available. This gun is a very close copy of the High Standard Flight King. The Flight King was available with a 7 round tube. That tube is available from Numrich very cheap. BUT it's not threaded where it goes into the receiver like the Higgins is. So that's probably out.
The end of my mag tube just has a cap with one screw holding it in. My berrel is cut down to 19" and I have room for a 2 round extension with no obstruction on the barrel like on a Mossberg. It's just held on by a factory barrel/mag clamp. I have a barrel/mag clamp on the way with a swivel stud on one side. So all I need length of the right diameter tubing and a coupling device or method.

So with that in mind what would y'all do?

If the extension fits snugly over the mag tube, you're good. If it's the same size, you'll have to flare the end of the ext., about .25", to fit over the mag tube.

Gonna need some pics, of gun, and parts, I can't put it all together in my head, without some visual aids.
Here is the bidness end of the Higgens. Just a factory clamp around a tube with a cap held in by tiny screws. So I can use the same cap for the end of whatever tubing I can locate.
